My name is Kurt Sikora and MediaAffect.com is my personal portfolio. It is a chance to share some of my creative outlets with you. I am a multi media designer with experience in web, graphics, video and marketing and have expanded my career from graphic designer to art director to mobile content and marketing. I’ve been asked time and time again about the name Media Affect. In it’s simplistic definition it’s the theories about the way mass media affects how audiences think and behave. If you look over the past 10 years and how new media has changed our way of life you’ll see it clearly. How did you used to get information and how do you get it now? How quickly did you find that information and was it even there yesterday? What if sites like MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter didn’t exist? Sites like CNN.com and NewYorkTimes.com are forcing traditional newspapers to shut down. That’s the media affect.
